Some walls ask for paint. Others ask for something with weight, texture, and a quiet presence that shifts how the whole room feels. The Solstice Wall Hanging is that piece.
Hand-knotted in layered geometric patterns with cascading fringe, the Solstice is designed to anchor a space the way a fireplace or a window does. It gives the wall depth. It softens the light. It turns a flat surface into something worth looking at.
Named after the moment the sun pauses between seasons, the Solstice carries the same energy: unhurried, grounded, still.
Why it works
-
Perfect proportion. Sized to fill a space above a nightstand, reading nook, or entryway without overwhelming it. Works alone or as part of a gallery wall.
-
Layered texture. The V-shaped geometric knotwork creates depth and shadow that flat prints and canvas art can't replicate.
-
Natural materials. 100% cotton rope on a natural wood dowel. No synthetic fibers, no plastic hardware. Everything ages well.
-
Pairs with the Cocoon Chair. Same cotton. Same cream tone. Same design language. The Solstice and the Cocoon Chair were made to share a room.

Hanging
One nail. One hook. Under two minutes. The wood dowel distributes weight evenly so the piece hangs straight and stays put. No anchors, no brackets, no tools. If you can hang a picture frame, you can hang the Solstice.
Care
Spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap. To refresh the fringe, gently comb through with your fingers or a wide-tooth comb. Avoid prolonged direct sunlight to preserve the natural cotton color. Do not machine wash.
Where it belongs
Above the bed as a headboard accent. Over a nightstand or desk to add warmth. In an entryway to set the tone before anyone steps further inside. Next to your Cocoon Chair to complete the corner.
Each piece is hand-knotted, so slight variations in pattern and fringe length are part of the craft. No two are identical.
